This is partly the reason for the lack of updates
to the Website, the other reasons being work at the house and making a rail-bender
for 5" gauge alloy track. It all started when a friend asked me to go
with him to look at couple of CNC Mills a dealer ( Douglas
Cameron ) had phoned him about.
In the course of negotiations we asked about a price for both the Milling
machines he had for sale and a deal was struck for the two mills at a good
price. I got one and my friend the other, and a certain editor of a magazine
who came along for the ride was also bitten by the CNC bug and bought a Denford
"Orac" CNC lathe.
No doubt in time he will write an editorial about the trip and his purchase!
As I was leaving I mentioned to Douglas that I would have to
dispose of a small milling machine which was lying in the garage to make room
for the EMCO F1. He offered an EMCO Compact 5 CNC lathe as a straight swap
and that is how Craigmill graduated to a full CNC shop.
